Following the lifting of the State of Emergency imposed on Rivers State by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday, the state governor, Siminilaya Fubara, returned to the Government House on Friday to assume duties.
Addressing hundreds of people, who gathered at the Government House to welcome him, the governor expressed appreciation to the people of Rivers State for what he described as their show of “concern, support and solidarity.”
He also announced that he would be making a state broadcast at 6pm on Friday.
