The National Youth Service Corp would soon have a new permanent orientation camp for Youth Corpers serving in Lagos State.

The Lagos State government has already earmarked the sum of N5 billion naira for the project, according to the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who made the disclosure at the passing-out parade of youth corpers serving in the state.

The governor, however, did not reveal where the new camp would be sited.

Other goodies announced by the governor at the event include the payment of N100,000 naira to each youth corper, which would be paid directly to their accounts; automatic employment into the Lagos State Public Service of the best 100 corpers, in addition to the provision of a 32-seater Hyundai Bus for the State NYSC.
