The Management of the Dangote Group has confirmed the fire incident, which broke out at its multi-billion-dollar refinery on Monday.
In a brief statement issued by its Group Head, Corporate Communication, Anthony Chiejina, the company said the fire incident, which it described as “minor,’ only affected its “Effluent Treatment Plant,” adding that there was no loss of life or injury to any of the staff on duty.
The statement read, “There is no cause for alarm as the refinery is operating and there is no recorded injury or body harm to all our staff on duty.”
