Contrary to an earlier released statement by the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the President, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, that President Bola Tinubu will address a joint session of the National Assembly on Wednesday, another presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, has said the event would not be taking place.

Ngelale disclosed that in commemoration of the first-year anniversary of the Tinubu-led government, the President would inaugurate some strategic projects across the country.

The statement read, “In view of public commentary concerning the President delivering a speech before a joint sitting of the National Assembly tomorrow, May 29, 2024, it is important to state that this information is false and unauthorised as the office of the President was not involved in the planning of the event.”
