Motorists plying the Minna to Bida road would soon have cause to smile, with the flag-off of its reconstruction by the Niger State governor, Mohammed Bago.
The flag-off ceremony was witnessed by top dignitaries, including the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, who is also the Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers.
In his address, Governor Bago disclosed that the project, being handled by Arab Contractors, has been expanded into a three-lane carriage way, in addition to the construction of seven bridges to be sited at some of the communities along that route.
The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), the governor added, has provided full funding for the reconstruction, while promising that project would be completed according to schedule.
